To conceal his illegal occupation, he procured a fabricated “land enjoyment certificate” in the name of his mother, Kalyani, and used that forged document to obtain an electricity connection for the temple. He further produced a forged title document purportedly in Kalyani’s name and, by corrupt means, arranged for the utility consumer name to be transferred to the temple.

A subsequent complaint to the Electricity Vigilance Cell prompted a detailed investigation, which exposed the corrupt practices. As a result, departmental disciplinary action was taken against the concerned electricity officials by the TANGEDCO Vigilance Additional Director General of Police against the Sholinganallur Assistant Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer.

The consumer-name transfer was cancelled, and strict disciplinary measures were imposed on the officers involved. Further proceedings are underway to identify and prosecute the actual perpetrators, including those who unlawfully trespassed and erected the temple.
